House Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY:
The House Coordinator is primarily responsible for directing the day-to-day operations including, but not limited to, guest care, training, scheduling, managing and supervision of staff and volunteers. Maintain a close dialogue with hospice agencies in placing their patients and ensuring that all directives are followed as directed in writing, email, or verbal conversations that are repeated back for clarity. The position is on call and may be required to work an irregular work schedule, if needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit employees
- Staff scheduling
- Recruit bed availability
- Host volunteer training
Staff meetings and information sharing - Upholding hospice agencies treatment plans
- Guest evaluation for acceptance
- Billing
- Review daily documented guest logs
- Review daily documented medication logs and audit medication intake
- Staff evaluation and reviews
- Staff discipline and possible releasing staff member
- Staff development
Ability for inclusion of all shifts the position is responsible for - Confidentiality
Assist staff with guest care when needed - Public speaking engagements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years of health, medical, management related experience within the last five years
- Preferred knowledge of hospice philosophy and principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have transportation and a valid Michigan Driver’s License
- Prefer non-smoker
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft 365
- Proficient in Quickbooks

- Provide leadership while encouraging a professional, positive attitude among staff by exhibiting
proper conduct, appearance, communication, mutual respect and ethical behavior
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform proper body mechanics with manual dexterity and mobility.
- Good physical health with the ability to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, sit, lift, grasp.
- Be able to perform repetitive motion involving lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects
weighting over 50 lbs with assistance. - Good sensory perception to be able to listen carefully to weaken guest requests and good
listening skills to sounds from at a distance.
POSITION:
- Salary: $44,000
- Two weeks paid vacation after 90 days on the job
